Ms Kong Harald

MS Kong Harald was set afloat in 1993 to mark Hurtigruten's 100- year anniversary. In the ship's interior, you will see decorative details of the King's Crown emblem. You'll also find other famous Norwegians on board: The bar is named after Nobel Peace Laureate, Fridtjof Nansen; the cafe, after explorer Roald Amundsen. Although this ship is named after today's King of Norway, Harald, you will find other famous Norwegians on board as well. MS Trollfjord

The MS Trollfjord has a winter theme with a modern design, featuring Norwegian wood and stone throughout the interior. Large windows have been installed throughout the ship to let the light and scenery into the public areas, and even the elevators are made out of glass. The ship is named after the famous Trollfjord, situated between the Vesteralen and the Lofoten Islands. Trollfjord is one of the highlights of the voyage south, and is famous locally for "The Battle of the Trollfjord" which took place in the winter of 1890. The ship has a comfortable interior, with an extensive use of Norwegian wood and stone. Trollfjord's maiden voyage was in 2002 and she is one of the newest ships in the Hurtigruten fleet. Being MS Midnatsol's sister ship, they share many of the same characteristics, such as the beautiful panorama lounge and suites. On board the ship you will discover original paintings by the Lofoten artist Kaare Espolin Johnsen, paintings that were originally on board the old Hurtigruten ship MS Harald Jarl

MS Fram

MS Fram was specially designed for cruising arctic waters. Through the extensive use of wool, leather, and oak, its interior has a Nordic feel. As she spends the summer months cruising the Greenland sea, the MS Fram is decorated with works by esteemed Greenlandic artists. MS Midnatsol

The name Midnatsol means "Midnight Sun" and the ship's interior is dedicated to the Norwegian summer. Large glass expanses allow the outside light to enter, along with extraordinary views. The name Midnatsol (Midnight Sun) is something to live up to, and this ship, dedicated to the Norwegian summer, does just that. The interior is bright, its colorful decor is inspired by the warm sunny climate, a motif also reflected in the many pieces of Norwegian modern art on display. Midnatsol was put into service on 15 April 2003 and is the fourth Hurtigruten ship to bear this name. The ship has a strong environmental profile and a modern design, with Norwegian matierals used extensively throughout its interiors. Together with her sister ship, MS Trollfjord, Midnatsol is among the newest in the fleet. What characterizes both ships is the large, two-story panorama lounge above the bow and the large glass expanses that allow natural light to enter as well as providing extraordinary views. There are also 23 beautifully appointed suites, some of which have a balcony.

MS Polarlys

Polarlys is Norwegian for Polar Light and the name is a tribute to that colorful light exclusively visible on winter nights. MS Polarlys is a stylish ship, furnished with mahogany paneling, polished brass and authentic Norwegian artwork at every turn. Polarlys was built in 1996, and she is the third ship in Hurtigruten to have this name. Polarlys is the Norwegian word for polar light, a name given to the special Arctic phenomenon we chase in our winter program "Hunting the Light." Polarlys is a stylish ship, furnished with mahogany paneling, polished brass, and a choice selection of Norwegian contemporary art. Together with the extensive use of wood in the public areas, this has created a unique maritime atmosphere.
